On Saturday afternoon, Margaret and her dog, Penny, were jogging in Concord on a sidewalk when an elderly woman fell asleep at the wheel and drove straight into her..

The crash was about a mile from Margaret’s house around 3 pm. She was awake and on the phone with Henry (husband) but doesn't remember anything after leashing Penny up at 3pm until midnight while she was in a concussion loop during that time.

It’s going to be a really long recovery. Nose is broken, a concussion, face is beat up, pelvis was broken in several places, the ligament on the front of the pelvis was torn off, MCL and ACL are both torn and she is very bruised all over.

She has already had surgery to put her pelvis back together. Knee problem will be determined this week.

Her medical staff says she is lucky to be alive, given what happened. She’s trying to stay positive but it’s going to be months before she will be herself again…...

We would like for the CCO family to do something for Margaret or her family, either individually or as a group. Meals? transportation to rehab? …
